Looks like a closed-face Zonophone.

Wow! I'd love to find that on a flea market...

do you think it is genuine ? I thought it looked as though someone had tried to artificially age it ?
It is EBay item 112200553725 if anyone is interested.

Yes...., 3 screw, closed face Zonophone with needle guard. Agree with the aging. Very strange. Typically don't see a lot of rust inside of the long throat. Also, the build up of crud in the grooves of the screws and around the base of the screws is also strange. Could be the "bucket of old stale urine" trick!?

Or in a coffee-can, other container in an old shed, with a bad roof, or in a bucket of hardware from a clean-out that got left out in the rain...
The rust may be recent, but it may also be accidental.

Don't quite know what to make of the seller. Only 15 feedback comments and a member since 2007. No feedback since 2012! As these closed face reproducers can bring well over $1000, I would be a bit nervous about sending money across the big pond!!!

After looking at an original reproducer on my machine, I believe it to be an "AGED FAKE".
The reproducer looks very "Clark-Johnson-esque", especially the needle bar and the way it is attached.
The reproducer also looks thicker than an original with a shorter "long-throat".
The only part that "looks" Zonophone is the needle bar guard.
Looks like someones trying to make a buck.

It does not look to be a Zonophone reproducer. The stylus bar is curved significantly, while the original is straight. The small cover at the top looks much too long. It's not a Clark Johnson, those have a very different protective piece over the stylus bar. The screw pattern on the eBay listing is also odd. Here's my Zonophone, compare to the auction:

I shouldn't have posted before running out the door for Brooklyn...! I concur that the eBay sound box does not appear to be original (although some of the parts may be). Note that the needle bar merely presses against the diaphragm. Here's a photo of mine - -
