FOR SALE: Desirable Victor VV-XII in Mahogany - $695

For your consideration is a desirable Victor Victrola VV-XII table top machine in mahogany. This is the first style XII and my understanding is that it is the harder of the two to find. Here's some particulars of this machine:
- Original finish. The finish is dry in places.
- Original parts including yielding turntable and crank
- Nice gold plating on tone arm and interior hardware
- Some gold plating loss on the door knobs and key escutcheon
- No key present
- Someone in the past applied some round dots that spell out initials on the front lid...then there may be some thin overcoat on that. So the lid may need refinishing
- The motor will play thru one record, but the motor feels tight...looks like the spring barrels need re-positioning
- Buyer should assume that the motor needs disassembly cleaning and reassembly to run correctly
- Gold plated reproducer is original and has not been rebuilt...should be however
- Missing needle cup...easy find on eBay
- Hinge screws have been replace and may need to be replaced
- Lid support has been repositioned on the lid and will either need to be fixed or leave as is
Overall this would be a great restoration project or even a parts machine.
$695.00 or reasonable offer plus packaging and shipping.
Local Pickup (San Francisco California) or shiping available, domestic only, via FedEx. In addition, I'm sure one of our West Coast collectors would help in getting it to the Union Phonograph Show in June if you would prefer.
