The Victrola 9-40 Payment Plan for 1927

I've been on vacation this week and have been cleaning and forgot I had this. It's kind of interesting, especially for those that think they didn't do payment plans on this stuff back in those days. I've had this argument with people, and I even have one of these things I found in a pump organ that's about 50 years earlier than this one. That one has some interesting stipulations in it, but it doesn't have much to do with phonographs. This machine was certainly outdated by the time he got it paid for! Those 9-40's are big machines and I've never had one. If they had four doors instead of two, I would have bought one a couple of years ago but apparently Victor liked cabinets that had huge wingspans in those years. Anyway, it's an interesting bit of history and the machine is probably long gone. This was stuck in the owners manual, and that is in terrible, nearly unreadable shape from getting wet. I don't know why this survived.
