FOR SALE: Is this Extremely Early Round Hole Exhibition Reproducer - (ON HOLD)

This is the earliest numbered Exhibition I have ever owned. (#1639)

I have just rebuilt this reproducer using the original diaphragm and a NOS back flange.
I tested it with a soft tone and an extra loud tone needle and it sounded great with either.
It would look great on a very early machine.

Presumably the round hole versions pre-date the introduction of triangular fibre needles by Victor in 1910 and by HMV in 1911.

Out of curiosity I checked the Exhibitions in my collection, comprising one G&T, five HMV, one Zonophone and one Gramola. Two out of the eight, the G&T and one of the HMV's, had the round holes. The G&T came as no surprise, as The Gramophone Company dropped the word "Typewriter" from it's name in 1907.
