Includes original square hole crank, and good Model C reproducer. I'll install a new belt on it, as well as new top casting rubber insulators. Motor runs very well. Someone, decades ago, sloppily applied a top coat of Tinted wax to it . In an attempt to add shine. The decal is intact. With some cleaning, and attention, this machine will really shine. $650 and I can deliver it to the Wayne show in the spring, or Stanton's in the spring. Shipping this is cost prohibitive.

Today I'm going to install a belt, top casting rubbers, oil and grease it up. And clean it up a little, too. This is a great playing machine that would like a new home. Hey, it comes with a crank and reproducer! WHat's not to like?

The dark coating on it ended up being some weird waxy residue which took some elbow grease and furniture cleaner to remove with the assistance of 0000 Grade extra fine steel wall. I even clean some of the details on the bed plate on top casting

Correct! It plays too good. I'm helping a friend out, so I didn't want to put too much time into it. BUT, if I get bored (that NEVER happens!) I might find myself cleaning the cabinet just to relax. The lid has no wood damage, so it should be a stunner.

You sure did get some amazing results! Can you please tell me what brand of steel wool and furniture cleaner you used?

It's probably a mixture of 100 years' worth of cooking fumes, furniture polish, maybe coal smoke or oil furnace fumes, and tobacco smoke deposits. Remember, up until pretty recently, almost every household was full of smokers--by far the rule, not the exception. According to the mfr. of "Black Wax," the product I used on my Edisonic (I think the name was Pacific Engineering, quite sensibly located in--New England!), that dark, alligatored mess we almost always see on the surface of old furniture is *not* dead finish; it's the accumulated gunk that deposited on top of the original finish, which is still there and usually perfectly good underneath. Alas, as far as I can tell Black Wax (a mixture of a fine furniture wax and rotten stone) seems to have gone out of production. It did do a nice job on the Edisonic, although given the number of tins I ran through it was pretty pricey. I'll not inject photos here to confuse your sale listing, but you can see the results in the original Edisonic census thread over in Machines.

The dirt and tar on this is incredible. This is the result of THREE cleanings!!! The lid can do with a fourth cleaning! And yes. Done in kitchen. It's -2*F outside in the shop!!!

All that is left is to disassemble the top casting hardware and degrease it, clean light dirt off top casting, and install four new feet! Surely, it is worth the asking price now!

It's a testament to the value of GoJo, Goop, Furniture Masque (choose your preference), and 0000 steel wool.

I paid $425 for my first Triumph in 1980 - a Model A just like this one. I still have it. But it seems that $425 in 1980 was more expensive than $650 today! If this doesn't sell sooner, I predict that it won't last more than a couple of weeks after Christmas...
