It looks like earlier than the 1940s. I could be wrong.

If I only had room in my den... I love this thing and the $10,000 price actually seems somewhat reasonable...

1960's. Pete Logan of Miami Fla. under the name of Logan Showcraft built and altered a number of band organs, equipping them with very gaudy cases. This one is a good example- meaning that is is bad.

The fact that it uses player piano rolls instead of band organ rolls means it isn't going to sound particularly good.

The fact that the craigslist post indicates it uses piano rolls "could" just be ignorance on the part of the seller, as band-organ rolls to the uninformed could be mistaken for jumbo piano rolls. Even if this machine was made up from parts of many other ones, a roll frame and tracker bar for band-organ rolls could be procured, and at one time (maybe still) were made as reproductions.

On a band organ group a poster says that he's seen several Showcraft organs that did use 88 note piano rolls. The organ probably junk- the pipes look like church organ pipes and the front figure is a Beefeaters Gin advertisement.

Certainly, any self-respecting buyer would have to familiarize himself with the minutiae of band organs, and only then inspect the instrument in person...
