I've been lucky enough to acquire these Pathé Salon cylinders.
All have mould to some extent - is it worth trying to clean the mould off as far as possible , or just leave them alone?
They are all slightly grubby too - is it worth giving them a wipe with a damp soapy cloth , or again just leave them alone?

Your picture #2 seems to indicate that they were moldy when manufactured...

I would try cleaning them. I have played lightly molded Salon cylinders that played very good. I don't think the one with heavy mold will play well at all.

Thanks Rick - what's best to clean them with - soapy water , bleach or something else?

Steve, I never really understood wether the Pathé Salons have the same size of the Edison Concerts and of the Columbia Grands. Could you compare them with each other?

I don't have a Grand or a Concert (yet) Marco , but as I understand it the Edison Concert's are 5 inches in diameter , and these Paths Salon's are 3.5 inches in diameter.
