Help Transcribing a Family Home Recording

Post by phonogfp »

The Antique Phonograph Society often receives a couple dozen queries per week, and from time to time something comes in that we cannot quite handle. Here's something from a lady who lives in Derry, New Hampshire, and who is willing to travel to the Boston area for help:

WE HAVE TWO HOME MADE RECORDING RECORDS MADE BY OUR MOTHER IN 1932 ON A VICTOR LABEL. OUR MOTHER WAS AN ELOCUTION TEACHER AND THE RECORDS HAVE HER RECITING SOME OF THESE WORKS. WE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE RECORDS PUT ONTO CD'S FOR OUR FAMILY AND WONDERED IF YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO GUIDE US WHOM AND WHERE WE MIGHT FIND A CONTACT

Can anyone on the Forum lend a hand to this lady? If so, feel free to PM me your contact information and I will forward it to her.

Thanks in advance - - :)

What a pity that I live overseas, George... I would be more than happy to help! (and also quite curious to listen to these records)
