Kruesi tin foil repair advice needed

I am trying to get this Kruesi model tin foil machine working. The stylus was missing and the diaphragm was badly damaged. Those familiar with the Kruesi model will see that this is not 100% faithful to the original. The diaphragm is not held between the two pieces of the phonette.

I need advise on how to glue the diaphragm and gasket to the phonette. Also on how to attach the stylus and holder that I made. My first attempt was to use hot hide glue since I had some going in the shop for a wood repair. I used it for the diaphragm and gasket and then used super glue to attach the stylus holder. The holder came right off on the first attempt to use this.

I then switched to 5 minute epoxy. It lasted long enough for me to see that it seemed to make a recording in the tin foil, but it popped off when I tried to play it back.

I have a new diaphragm and gasket and want to start over and I am looking for advice. I have attached a few photos to show what I am working with. Any advice is welcome. I am especially interested in glue advice.

Hey Dave,

I would get a hold of Bill Miller in Romeo. He built the stunning St. Clair and the Kreusi tin foils. Bill is a master machinist.....he really understands how these are engineered and I am sure he can help you out. If you don't have his contact info, let me know.

Dave,

Our Model T group has visited his shop a few times. Very nice work, with an understanding of the tin foil machines. You'll enjoy a visit there!
