Tariffs are in the news following the EU referendum and the US Presidential election, but it is not this 1909 Tariff Reform meeting that aroused my interest. It is the curiously adapted gramophone in the bottom right hand picture. The poor chap carrying it must have had to walk very slowly and very carefully to keep it level :
