I was just doing my usual thing, cruising EBAY for Sam Lanin's orchestra recording of "When the Red Red Robin" and "Edison Blue Amberol #1893 Airs from Pinafore #4" when I happened upon two Blue Amberol cylinder records of "Kansas City Kitty" which, thankfully I had previously purchased from Norman Bruderhofer, sold in December 2016 for $750.00 and $1042.00 respectively.
Thank you Norman.

Yep! I have that one too...A big thank you to Norman! I am sure his next release will be a good one.

I am always happy to read a feedback like this. Kitty has been probably my most popular 4-minute title, at least number two.

I too. I could never afford to pay that much for a record but the reissue I got from Norman sounds fantastic.

Why is this a big money record?

Thanks for posting that, Norman.
I placed an order with you for a second copy, just in case.
By the way, what is or was your most popular cylinder?
John

Only 102 copies were pressed. This is from the very end of the Blue Amberols.

Good to know.
And, there are probably quite a few that were tossed so that makes this a rarity. :D

Yes, they rarely show up. This is why Norman's records are a bargain, plus the quality is exceptional.

It is a pleasure to enjoy these rarities such as Kansas City Kitty, That's Her Now, My Sin etc., these are the recordings that peak the interest of newbies.
