For a mere £250 you can be the proud owner of this.... We experts can instantly tell it is from the incredibly rare and little known "Vase - o - Phone".....

Comments from seller:
"Beautifully patterned with a gorgeous patina. From my research I believe the horn is from a early Good Gramophone Co Type machine but I am open to any other suggestions from any more knowledgable people in this field."
No wonder it's so expensive, it's "rare"...

My hunch is that it's some form of megaphone, e.g., fireman's. Don't think it's phonograph-related.

Looks like a Victorian-era cemetery vase, missing it's coupling.

I dont think the inside was ever meant to be seen, my best guess is its a lamp base of some description

My first impression was that it was a "Spittoon-o-phone"!

It's a flower epergne (yes a vase!). I've sold similar, late 19th century and missing it's base which it would have screwed onto. Outrageous price. There's one in my garage if anyone wants one...
