HELP Removing Motor From Amberola V

Hello,
I am starting the restoration on my Amberola V and don't want to damage anything. I am having a problem trying to figure how to remove the bed plate with motor. You can't just lift the bed plate up because it has that raised stanchion at the back that the horn couples into. The horn is screwed to the bottom of the case so you cant just slide it back like you would on an Amberola 30?? Any ideas??

The horn is attached to the stanchion and can be disconnected by loosening the thumbscrew. The fitting will be snug but you should be able to wiggle it off. Then proceed lifting the assembly off after removing the three bedplate screws. And crank. ;-)

Adding a little extra detail to Bob's helpful information, you will find it even easier to first remove the thumbscrew that secures the horn throat (as Bob mentioned) then next remove the 3 stanchion screws. This will allow you to pull the stanchion itself forward then up and off the bed plate. Then remove the 3 bed plate screws as Bob also mentioned and the crank and you should be able to lift the works up and out of the cabinet. Reverse order to re-install. I've done this several times to work on my own Amberola V's. Good luck.
