I was just wondering whether anyone here might have been the lucky buyer on this upright oak victrola... I know it's incomplete and not perfect, but $10 seems like a pretty good buy to me... any way, just curious...

From looking at the pictures in the auction, it seems to be a rare Victor "Horizontal Model" phonograph.

One of the growing number of phonograph "de-cyclers" is the "winner". It will surely reappear soon on eBay in chunks and pieces. Check your PMs.
that's unfortunate. but at least it's something fairly common, and not something too rare or a machine along the lines of a credenza - which seem far too often to be butchered, screwed around with, and flipped... one seller from the general area of the $10 victor comes to mind.

How can one tell who the winner is since ebay now hides the names of the bidders?
