Isn't that supposed to be what the inside of the special made Asian Art Victors looks like?

Re: Sometimes I don't Know What to Think
that's beyond tragic. I'm assuming someone idiotically stripped the factory lacquered finish and refinished it for a substandard mahogany look, while leaving untouched the red paint inside (which appears original - note the decal over the paint).
ughck. that's what to think.

I agree with Brian. The original internal finish was intentionally red and it appears that someone removed the original external finish on what was likely one of the scarce Japanese lacquer finish Victrolas. Oh boy...

Sheesh.. It looks like a VV XVII too. At $250.00, don't you think it might be in some way salvageable?

It's a VV-130, I have this machine in Japanese Lacquer. Damn, that really IS a shame, considering supposedly only 50 of these were made with that finish.

Y'think someone might have tried cleaning the exterior and made a real screw up?
