Here's a very nice brown wax Vocalion for you. "That Old Gang Of Mine", sung by the Criterion Male Quartette, recorded somewhere in July 1924. According to the sheet music there should be a recitation at the end about how the gang fell apart after WWI. I heard another version of this song by Billy Murray and Ed Smalle that actually contains the recitation, but the Criterion Quartette replaced it with a fragment from "Sweet Adeline".

I read somewhere that acoustic Vocalions should be played at 80 rpm, but in this case that was way to fast, so I ended up at 75.5 rpm.

Enjoy!

Bart,

That's a great rendition of That old gang of mine. I find that the song lends itself equally well to both male quartet and dance band interpretations.

Bart,

That's wonderful! I love the Sweet Adeline in the middle. :D Thanks for posting it.
