I don't think it's too bad considering the scarcity of that wood horn... Just follow the forum rule - "Nothing is too much, if you want it..."
Besides, an "asking" price is just that... The actual "selling" price may be different...

It is a beauty. But, the crank is wrong. The asking price is very reasonable.

My gosh, that crank looks like it belongs on a corn sheller!

Forget the crank...looks to be a nice machine with a nice wood horn....just not a bad deal unless the motor is missing...
My two cents worth...

That's a good price for that machine. It is a Columbia BN from about 1909-13. These Columbia paneled horns are rare and scarce. This horn is in exceptional condition. Usually these horns are warped and split. I have the correct crank you need.

Hi all, greetings down under from the other side of the world. I live in little old New Zealand. Get it! As the saying goes,"The early Bird catches the Worm",. Just hope there aren't any other intuitive Birds about ! I have a thing for Columbia's and things a little different. This cost me $700US more than yours. Sure it's a Columbia BII but is the 60H with a super duper smooth oak horn and just love the back bracket arrangement. 1915 the year. End of the line for Columbia external horn machines. Here it is. Is a big solid beast, with a motor that is readily available, fitted to table top and consoles of the time. I have an English one, different version to this, has the same back bracket, tone arm arrangement. Mahogany cabinet, missing most of the die cast back bracket, smashed to hell at some stage, missing, crank too. Oh dear! Will have to dig it out and post. Cheers Markie Mark
