Credenza for sale, Buffalo Area

Despite being reprimanded for using the "wrong" area of this site & having my post erased, I will repeat my offer, which benefits me in no way but is intended to help a fellow collector acquire a nice machine: There is an Orthophonic Credenza for sale on CL, within a reasonable drive from my home, and I would be happy to check it over, take pics, ask questions, and forward the info for anybody who is interested.
I will not ask 10cents for this effort - I offer my time only because I want this machine to end-up in the hands of an appreciative collector. The seller wants $500 but I think he/she will take less.
ps = It has the tooled leather decorations, which makes it somewhat rare.

Thanks, Edisone, for your kind offer to help the community. Here's a link to the listing, in case anyone is interested in taking you up on your assistance.

I've attached some additional photos that the seller sent to me several months ago.
I hope they help perspective buyers.
Be aware that the machine has spent a significant amount of time in an unheated garage.

It looks a whole lot better than the one I picked up on Monday. Reproducer doesn't look all that good, but if they'd come off the price some to compensate for the reproducer, all it would need is a thorough clean and wax to look nice (and a crank escutcheon). At least it has some albums with it. Somebody grab it.

Notice the common pot metal back bracket problem.
A reproduction is about $90 with shipping.

The spring motor was on the base model version of every machine, with the exception of some late 20s radio/phonograph combination sets.

Yes, the Tooled Leather VV 8-30 (Credenza) was available in both the spring motor and electric version. Mine is the electric version, and I think the one in the Victor Museum in Dover, Delaware is a spring motor. I wasn't aware of this until I saw a picture of the spring motor version. I always assumed that the original owner would be willing to pay the extra for both the leather AND the electric motor. I also think that most of the ones I've seen on this forum have been electric versions.
