Is there a trick to remove the casters on a Victor Victrola? I want to replace them but dont want to mess anything up

Use a large blade flat screwdriver and place it between the caster and the mounting plate, then pry or twist - you may have to tap it with a hammer to get it loose. If you are replacing them because of rust, they can be cleaned up with a wire wheel on a grinder and then oiled. The old casters are made better than the new ones and the steel cleans up good if you spend some time with them. They won't clean well with a Dremel since there is not enough power and the wire wheels are too small. A 4" hand held grinder with a wire brush would work also...
