This sign was used to designate and separate certain inmates in mental hospitals... This sign would have been on a door next to similarly labeled doors, such as "Edison Ward", "Columbia Ward", "Brunswick Ward", etc.

I heard a new song in the Leprosy ward the other day called "What's Eating You?".

Is there a Montgomery Ward for the "off brand" people?

They seriously thought about that option, but decided it was best to segregate the collectors based on their preference for record brands & types. The name brand machine collectors caused a problem by down playing the off brands and arguing about which was the better machine... The off brands couldn't defend the lesser quality of their machines, but at least they could play any available records...

Next June, ownership will subdivide the units, using the Ward Cleaver.

Can't wait until they decide to use the Beaver Cleaver...
