Is the Edison Diamond Disc 51372 ("Radio" and "Everything You Do") a rare and desired record? The "Radio" song was recorded in 1924 and talks about the invention of the radio with some radio sounds of the time. It sold on ebay in March 2016 for $95, but don't know if this is a good indication of it's value. I have a copy of it.

Thanks,

AR

I have a copy of it too and it's a fun record. I don't think it's worth $95, but on Ebay anything can happen.

Uncommon and desirable, yes. $95, probably not. I think I paid about $30 for mine from a board member a while back. They don't show up every day, but they're far from impossible to find.

BTW, Ken Burns used this in his documentary on (commercial) radio, but the lyrics are actually about "ham" (amateur) radio...

Ken Burns did a doc. on Radio? I wonder how I missed that?

It's called "Empire of the Air" and shows up on PBS from time to time. It also comes and goes on Netflix streaming (not available right now). It is currently available on Netflix DVD.
