I purchased this crank on E bay but I am now wondering if it was originally for an Edison. It is old and was nickel plated... The handle is screwed on. Tom B

That looks like the crank used with H&S cabinet machines:

Well, you've made a good buy. This is an original Hawthorne & Sheble crank for an Edison Home Under Glass. This crank was used with an adapter on Edison Home machines installed on a Hawthorne & Sheble case. Pretty hard to find crank.

I thought it was for an Edison standard suitcase as he had a suitcase up for bid but when I put it in a standard A it worked . That would make it too big for the suitcase.. I guess I will put it with a home long case. I will do a little clean up on it first to get a little of the rust removed. that is a very nice machine and cabinet Tom B

Yes I believe I might still have it on one of my standard A phonographs. It may take me a while to check as I am under the weather and have to tear out a lot of phonographs to see. Tom

Sorry to bring up an old post but I sent you a PM about this crank, I get that most people don't check PMs all the time.

I have been having problems and seeing doctors. I do not go on the internet like I used to. Tom
