Resurrecting a Columbia BN Graphophone

I'm sure at least a few of us saw this poor soul on eBay recently. I bought it on a whim, because at worst I have a 2 spring motor that I can use. It is missing the corner columns and all off the correct parts, but I was really feeling bad for it

Am I correct in saying this is, or was, a later Columbia BN Graphophone? I know which motor goes in it, but I'm a little confused on which tonearm and reproducer go on it, as I've seen a few variations of this machine.

Unless I am greatly mistaken, that speed control does not belong to any Columbia I know - especially any outside horn model.

The myriad extra holes in the motor board also raise a red flag. In my humble opinion, the whole thing stinks to high heaven.

I'm afraid there is not much there to resurrect. You have a Victor motor and turntable with a Columbia case. I would not put any time or money into this. Strictly parts if you can use them. sorry if that's bad news.

Yes, those are all Victor parts and there is a Victor two spring motor in it (which I actually needed, and it's in good condition ). However, the original motor mount holes are still there.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it. The cabinet's finish is actually very nice, just dirty and it needs some repairs after being damaged in shipping. I may put this one on the back burner and wait till parts show up.
