Looks like a real bargain for the 15.00 sonora. Appears mostly to need some attention to cleaning and finish and it might be a nice machine. If it were close I would try it.

I just sold a the same model of Columbia for the same price listed, $550. It really is a nice Columbia and the record ejector was pretty handy. Is that a little too steep for the table top victor and matching stand? I am about 5 minutes away from it's location, but haven't given it a second thought for that price. Maybe I should though?

Well, I wouldn't say its a bargain price but I don't think it's an all out rip-off. Hey, it's craigslist, if you want to try to go for a lower price.

Really nice Silvertone...one of the nicest ones I have seen. If I didn't just have a baby, I would probably try to pick this one up.

That is quite a Silvertone- their high end machines looked more impressive than the Victrola you could buy for the same money.

It really is nice. I have been sitting here in my living room debating on making the call to buy it. It looks very clean and is very attractive. I love the purple velor turntable and gold plating. Plus, it is mahogany. I have the money from some cylinders I recently sold, but can't make up my mind!

Silvertones like this don't show up too often do they?

Not all that often- the high end ones aren't unknown but the midrange and cheap ones are the common ones. This one probably cost around $125 when it was new- less than a large Victor but still not a cheap machine.
