Edison reproducer adaptor, or...???

Sorry, this is the only pic I have of this, but I was wondering: is this a “normal” (mono) Edison reproducer with an adaptor to hold two horns (to spread the sound across the room)…? (And if so, what’s it called? I think this might be fun to have.)
It doesn’t look like the bi-phonic reproducers I’ve seen, but I certainly haven’t seen everything.
Thanks much!
Mark

Those are made by Don Gfell of Milan Ohio the birthplace of Thomas Edison. He sells them in his shop and at shows along with his custom Wood horns. you can reach him at 419-499-3093 or

Hi Mark,
If I am remembering correctly, these attachments were made just a few years ago to give the appearance of a Polyphone or at least a two horned phonograph. To the best of my knowledge, nothing like this was manufactured in the day and is just a cosmetic attachment. I have not heard one, so I can give no input as to how it affects the sound..

Yeah, These are pretty cool. I bought four of them from Don about 4 years ago. His official name for them are The "Thingie"... I think Don charges $45.00 a piece for them. Yes, They give the cool appearance of a "Polyphone" attachment.
A 'True" Polyphone attachment would use two separate reproducers though.

I've got this type two horn attachment. Obviously something that was not original.

Hmmm...
I've never seen that angled Chromed version of the attachment for Horizontal Carriages... Interesting.
