Orthophonic Credenza Bun Feet: Who Needs Some???

First, I'll ask the question: Does anyone offer reproduction bun feet for Orthophonic Credenzas? If they are available, let me know from whom and read no further :) I am not aware of any available...

Therefore, I've made some very preliminary calls to shops that do custom wood turning to see if having a run of new bun feet would be possible. Still being in the preliminary phase, I have not heard back on pricing as yet. My questions here are:

1. Who would be interested in purchasing a set/s of new Credenza feet. FYI, they would most likely be made from either maple or birch. They would not be the "glued together" construction, but instead made from a solid piece of wood. Maple or birch should take stain very well for a walnut or mahogany finish. Note, the originals were made from a similar wood species and not mahogany or walnut.

2. What price range would you expect for a set of 4 feet? I'm not really looking to make money on this. Just want to cover my costs and maybe a few dollars for my time & effort.

This would be a great idea! I'm sure many people are looking for replacement bun feet. Making them from solid wood is an excellent idea from both a support standpoint, and also from an aesthetic standpoint. Mine have the split lines that will need to be filled with something.

I had two chunks missing out of the front of my VE 8-30, so I used a dremel to make the missing chunks. I'm still working on staining them and finishing to match the rest of the foot, but I feel as though they won't be too noticeably different.

It is interesting to note that there were two (at least two) versions of the Credenza feet. The earlier "Credenzas" used a more designed bun foot that made the machine sit higher off the floor, while the later 8-30's used a more plain, lower sitting foot.

Yes, the two, (at least), styles adds a level of complication. The style I was most wanting is the taller style. I'll post a sketch once I have a chance to take some measurements and get it drawn. Maybe if there's enough interest I could get two styles made. Also depends on price of course...
