I was looking through ebay and saw this Edison Spring Motor W/Bettini attachment. Is this legit? The seller has only 19 feedback and is located in Spain. Right now, it is at $15.50 with 7 days to go. Ant opinions or input?

The same videos were posted on his listing. That goes back to my original question. Is this legitimate or a scam?

No one has addressed the problem of finding the reproducer...where would you find one? Without it, it is just a spring motor missing a carriage and reproducer....

Agreed. Also missing the drawer. A nice find, but I'm not seeing a particularly high value here.

If anyone wants to make a drawer here are the measurements from a drawer I have.

Technical observance, looks like a pretty early machine too, with the genuine Class M top. The motor seems to be a pretty early Capps design, with all brass gears, and ball governor weights, whilst later manufacture motors, many of those gears are steel.

If you look at the bidding history, you'll notice some retractions. I hope this is legitimate and not a scam.
