Edison Peruvian Triste Piano Record comparison.

Hello all,
I am trying to organize my records finally by making an old fashioned card file of at least what I own.. I found that I have two copies of the Peruvian Triste / Pan American Waltz played by Carlos Valderama. I recalled that it was a record that never sounded very clear to me so I decided to play both for a comparison. Both have what can only be excessive surface noise. Both in some places display what sounds something like diaphragm buzzing which it may well be? It is a very loud recording especially in the second part of the Waltz piece.
I am wondering if this is a recording that was just not well recorded or if my copies are just both equally worn. They look reasonably well, but that is no judge for sure.. Does anyone else have this piece to compare its sound?
Reading on previous groups people used to always point to the Piano record of Monstary Bells as being a "best" example of recorded pianos by Edison. Frankly I always was puzzled by those comments because many Edison piano records have equal or better overall tonal range than the mentioned piece?
