Paul Morris announced in a Facebook group that the shop where he manufactures wax concert cylinders was destroyed by fire. He lost everything including his equipment, tools and all stock.

Send him a note if you know him. Contact information below:

I am very sad to her about the fire. I have several of his records and they are great. I wish him well and hope he had sufficient insurance.

The link doesn't work for me either.

He was planning to come to Union next month, with new Concert cylinders.

Wow poor guy. Maybe we could set up a gofund account or something for donations if he is lacking in insurance.

I second that motion! We shalln't leave a collector and producer like Paul in a ditch. I'd be willing to give some money, or even create a drive and sell some phono-related things for his cause.

Indeed, I know I would appreciate it! I've never created one but I'll pull it up and look into it shortly, unless someone else closer to him wants to give it a whirl. I'm sure it's self explanatory. Maybe the money from donations will help replace some of his equipment so he can continue to make the cylinders some love. I have never owned a concert phono (yet) so I haven't dealt with him, but from what I'm seeing people appreciate his work!

Edit: I'm looking into it now. Can someone PM me his information? Not sure what I'll need yet but I'll make a description etc.

Double edit: also I need a goal to reach for the fund! Any suggestions?
