Looks like it was probably a genuine machine that received a new motor (note the new hole on the motor board) and some other donor parts. So I guess the correct term would be "frankenphone".

It's a frankenphone, alright. A better term is a bitsa. Bits of this and that. Also check the seller's poor feedback. Stay away from this one.

Columbia's are well marked ..and well made,,, I agree it is a pieced together machine, The back bracket is used on a lot of reproductions. It could have been an older garage production. Tom B
