Silly cygnet horn question

I never owned a cygnet machine yet and about to get one in from an awesome user here and was curious: with the cygnet horn mounted on the crane, can you have lid installed on the machine? I leave the horns attached to the cranes with my other machines with the lids on to keep dust out...and for display and was wondering if I could do the same with a cygnet. If so my living room is about to look awesome :)

Sorry but the answer is no, you can not have the horn attached to the carriage and have the cover on the machine. The only exception is the Edison Opera. There is a hole in the lid to accommodate the horn. Of course it would be fine to install the lid on your machine and rest the lower end of the Cygnet gently on the front of the lid. Congratulation on your Cygnet machine. They are a thing of beauty and practicality. Jerry Blais

That's what I was saying, can it be installed on the crane with lid on without there being any issues...not attached to the carriage, can't even do that with other horns lol besides the opera like you said. I was basically curious if the cygnet hung too low, but it sounds like you answered my question!

Now I think I'll definitely get the music master horn since I can display it proudly with the cover on...cause I HATE dust on my machines lol :-P
