SOLD: Edison Home Model B, Union Show Special $250

I have this Edison Home Model B banner front. The story is this; we were on a family trip on the east coast and I stopped in a little antique store in the middle of nowhere. They had this sitting near the front of the store and they were just putting a price tag on it since it had just came in. I took a quick look and the price was very reasonable so I bought it. When trying to wind it, there was no tension, so I just assumed the spring was broken. I ordered a new spring from Ron Sitko and the other day I was going to install it and get it ready for the show. Once I pulled the spring barrel out and looked everything over, I realized the spring in the barrel was just fine. The loss of tension is coming from a small brass gear that has a crack in it (See Picture). It presses on to that shaft to drive the next gear. It is slipping on the shaft due to the crack. I think Sitko sells these small gears, as I know other people have had the same problem. I don't have time to order one and get it installed before the show, so I decided to pass the good deal I found, on to someone else who can fix it with minimal effort. An Edison Home motor is very easy to work on even without mechanical expertise.
The strong points to this machine: really strong pinstriping and corner tufts, excellent nickel plating, original finish probably 90%-95%, nice original crank, clean motor,
banner front model. The weak areas are a slight distressed area in the lid where someone sat something on top the handle. some loss in the banner decal but could probably be touched up. and the 19 tooth brass gear that needs replaced. No reproducer is included. The price is $250 SOLD with free delivery to Union. I won't bring the machine to the show unless it is presold. No Paypal, but a check or money order is fine, or cash at the show. If you decided you want the new mainspring with it I would sell that for $30 to the new owner. If interested please send a private message through the forum. Thanks for looking
