Greenslade Taylor Hunt,
www.gth.net Collector's Sale 2nd June 2017, Lot 951. HMV Model 460 Lumiere in mahogany. Looks good in the photo, but don't they all?
Pre-sale estimate GBP£600/£700 plus a hefty 23.4% Buyer's Premium including VAT.

Expect to see "collectorsmachines" selling it on Ebay a week later!!!!
The diaphragm appears to be perfect (which is a real rarity) so depending on the cabinet condition, £700 would be quite inexpensive - I recall the last good example fetched £1600 plus commission.

The example which SAS Auctions sold in February had a near mint diaphragm and interior, but much of the external veneer was lifting and peeling. I know because it was part of a collection which I was asked to help sort out by the family of the lately deceased owner. Estimated at £300/£500 it made £800 plus Buyer's Premium, so I agree that GTH's £600/£700 for a better example looks like a "come and buy me" estimate. We shall see......

£1200 plus comms.
Not bad. I presume it must have had its original nitro-cellulose spray finish intact to the outside of the cabinet (including the often marked lid) in very nice condition? Did anyone get a chance to view it?
