If only your name were William...we could call you Bungalow Bill!

are two of those from that recent south jersey goodwill auction? if so, I actually won that the first time around, but couldn't get there to pick them up... although their store operations have decent hours and are open on weekends, they only let you pick up auction purchases Monday through Friday until 4 or 430, and I couldn't get there due to work. frustrating.

What are your plans for them, and please identify these Edison machines for all the newbies..

Thanks,

They're Edison B-19 Diamond Disc players.
The one to the far left was a recent restoration of mine.

The one to the far right looks like an older restoration and is still in good shape. The one in the middle may be parts or for repair. These two are for sale.

Is 'bungalow' a term for a table-top Edison disc machine? I have not met with the word in this sense hitherto.

If I ever buy any more machines, I shall have to do what, for an insane instant, I imagined donniej had done: hang them from the ceiling, since there is no other flat surface of sufficient area left anywhere in the house except the bathroom*.

*Note: in Britain 'bathroom' is not a polite euphemism but means exactly what it says: the room which contains the bath. Obviously not a possible location for anything made largely of wood and corrosible metal.

Oliver Mundy.

The B-19 was known as the "Bungalow" or "Chalet" model.
