Hello everyone! I have been looking on the forum for a while now and finally decided to take the plunge and become a member. I am new to the hobby but I have fallen head over heels taking pleasure in such simple (until you work on them) machines. Thank you for supporting newcomers to the hobby. I will eventually attach a few pictures of my VV-110 for your enjoyment. Take care and thanks for having me.
John

Hi John,
Welcome to the wonderful and wild world of antique phonographs! We're glad to have you on board! Let's see your 110 when you have the chance to post pictures, these aren't terribly common Victrolas.
Have fun!
Sean

Agree, Welcome John! Are you still one of those guys who "just has one"? That will change in a hurry if you hang around us.
Looking forward to exchanging information and views with you. Cheers!

Welcome to the addiction
And I have my disclaimer too: Who's the bad guy here? The 15 year old collector (me) or the 50 some year old who pick on him? (Brad)

Welcome and glad to have another "newbie"! Like everyone has said, one phonograph will quickly turn to many and we hope to see pictures as you go.
There are many great reasons to collect/restore phonographs. I must say, that being new myself has shown lots of these reasons. But, in my opinion, one of the best reasons to collect and to spread the wealth of information to other new collectors, is for the sake of preserving the beginning of recorded sound and music alike for the future generations. That being said, welcome and remember that no question is a stupid question!
ps. My first phonograph was a VV-110 as well, so if you have questions, feel free to ask.
