I don't think it much matters. From the looks of it, it doesn't even have a diaphragm  . I'm not even sure if it's real. It has a homemade appearance.

And If I understand the seller correctly, there's no motor.

If it sells, I'd love to know who the buyer is. I found something in a box of cereal once--don't know if it was intentionally put there. Whatever it is, I'd let the buyer have it for $500. I think it would look great sitting next to this Tomas Alba de Edison Graphonole RCA Victor whatever....

I love how level the turntable is. Not to mention the other parts. They look like they were found on the bottom of a lake.

It's really RARE to find a Victor Victrola made by Edison with a marked RCA backmount... talk about a needle in a haystack.  Even the horn has an embossed Nipper trademark...

That reproducer looks like a solid sand cast piece of brass or whatever... And the nice touch of having the data plate dated February 1890 just adds confidence that it is undoubtedly original...

I beg to differ, Curt. It looks like it was found on the bottom of a lake than in a haystack.

   I think this was in the hay stack and a cow ate it with it coming out the other end. The motor must have stayed in the cow. He is handy at casting. The arm is cast too. Maybe it was a bull that ATE IT AND IT CAME OUT THE POSTERIER . Tom B

The reproducer appears to be made of poo.

Yes, it's the very rare RCA Victor Graphonole, patented the 1st of December 1890 by Thomas Alba de Edison! I'm sure we've all heard stories of these fabled machines!
