What's this from auctions and Craigslist

This is lifted from the auctions and Craigslist section. The decal is blurry, but I think that it is a late G&T, maybe for French sales. Just a guess. I don't know anything about this machine. Looks nice but for the reproducer and missing horn and elbow.

This is a G&T "Cockleshell" Monarch, so called because of the carved shells on the case, which was available in oak or mahogany.

The model was catalogued from about 1904 to 1910, and the original horn would have been a 23.5 inch diameter Morning Glory, although some examples may have acquired wooden horns later in life. The correct soundbox would be a G&T Exhibition.

This is a sought after machine, well worth the effort of completion, but I think that the starting price is too high given the further expense which is needed.
