Columbia Possible type O values?

I just got back from a flea market where I was rather tempted by a striking looking Columbia that the closest thing on Ebay was listed as a type O. It was larger though because It had the sideways shelves and on each side upright slots also. What attracted me was the finish was walnut and in super condition. Would have taken almost nothing to look great. It ran and the rear arm was pretty free. The tone panels in the front were somewhat rounded in stead of the square edged looking ones on the ebay machine. My guess was it was fairly late in the acoustic period? What I have heard about Columbia's and the pot metal issues on the reproducer made me extra leery, plus not really having a place to put it. The fellow had 300 on it but was anxious to deal. He came down to 180.00 before I left to think about it.. I passed due to moving it and space and money and the reproducer. I just wonder if that was a mistake or a smart move?
