I purchased this from Ron Sitko. Turned out the original was just unhooked. Asking price is $40 plus shipping.

I'm sorry I only know, from Ron, that the same one fits models Victor III - VI. If you need one for a VV-VI probably it's safer to puchase directly from Ron or elsewhere.hearsedriver wrote:What is the width and length of this mainspring? There were different ones used for just the VV-VI. Thanks
The spring which Friend Valencik is offering appears to be the 1 ¼" x 14' unit with pear shaped holes at both ends which was first used in the new Spiral Drive motors introduced in late 1905. This spring was used in the Victor II, Victor III, Victor IV, Victor V, Victor VI, VTLA, Victrola IV machines Type E and F, Victrola XX, Victrola XVI, Victrola IX, Victrola X, Victrola XI, Victrola XII, Victrola XVI, and Victrola XVIII up through the introduction of the Burton motor in 1918. Some early Burton motors even use this spring. The Victor I used a lighter weight spiral drive motor which had originally been designed for the Victor Z. This used a 1" x 9' spring. The Z motor was also used in the early Victrola IV machines. A two spring version was used in the early Victrola VI and Victrola VIII instruments.hearsedriver wrote:What is the width and length of this mainspring?
