I did not know that RCA and Brunswick were together at one time. Looks interesting, but I don't mess with electricity.

Yep, they were. I have a gorgeous BR-260 with the same radio but it's a much larger and more elaborate cabinet. It's actually one of the machines I'm going to be parting with as I have been doing a major shift in my collection...anyone interested in such a mammoth beast is welcome to PM me with inquiries, but it's beautiful!

The AR-813, like the AR-812, is battery powered - no electricity required.

It would be incorrect to say that Brunswick and RCA were "together". RCA held the patents on Superheterodyne radio design. They sold RCA radio chassis to Brunswick and others to install in their own cabinets or phonographs. Up until RCA bought Victor Talking Machine Company, they did not make any record playing machine of their own. This purchase of Victor was a few years after the Brunswick shown in the listing. RCA also supplied radio chassis to Victor to install in Victor machines before they bought Victor.
