Here is a fine original Berliner Box, Motor and turntable. The motor run excellent and quiet. The decal is complete and original. The felt is replacement which is how I got it. Apologies for using a cell phone for images, I always try to avoid using one for posts. But I am on the road and I had plenty of light, so the resolution is good, if you click on the picture it will open up with the correct orientation.

Is the motor all original and correct? There seems to be an extra pair of screws in the spring housing.

It is original and correct. It is the first time I have seen it as well and I have 4 others. John

On pages 62 and 63 of Discovering Antique Phonographs, there's a very late Berliner with the same arrangement of screws in the spring cage. I suspect the serial number of the example for sale is pretty high - in the 30,000 range.

No, I don't. I've never had the opportunity to disassemble a very late Berliner Improved Gramophone.
