Would there happen to be a book solely concerning how phonograph records were recorded?

The closest book on the subject was a 1918 publication called "The Reproduction of Sound" by Henry Seymour.

This book has mold designs, cylinder and disc master formulas, plating solutions, how to set up the Gold Moulded method, and celluloid moulding of cylinders. It also talks about acoustics, and room setup, and some about how to set recorders up. If you are into early recording of the brown wax era, then "The Phonograph and How to Use it." This book does mention horn choice, diaphragm choice and other helpful tips for making brown wax era recordings, published in 1900.
