Record Sleeve Repair Question?

Does anyone repair/preserve 78 record sleeves? I have several that are in fairly decent condition but need a little TLC. Not that I want to use them, but I feel they are a part of record history and deserve to be preserved if at all possible. Biggest problem seems to be sides coming apart, wrinkles and tattered edges. Does anyone have some input say for proper materials and methods? I tried a search, lots on sleeves but nothing on repairs.

If they aren't to be used, you could just slide them into plastic outer sleeves. They do a good job preserving sleeves. I have plenty myself.

Try Google for a good "paper conservator" in your area. Won't be cheap, but it will be done right.

Unless you have a truly rare sleeve I'd flatten any creases with a warm clothes iron, then mend tears with archival mending tape which is made of paper- you can buy it on Amazon- I suggest Lineco brand.
