Here is an article from the 'Talking Machine World', June 1919 about stolen Victrolas.

Does anyone out there have one? If so, how did you happen to come to own it?

Don't worry, the statute of limitations has expired.

None of these serial numbers have been submitted to the Victor-Victrola.com data base.

The truck was probably highjacked by the Mafia and the machines were sent to a phonograph chop shop where they were disassembled and sold for replacement parts...

Is there a way to search this data base for information.

It would be neat to see if any of these are in a collection.
