It's truly pathetic that there aren't more people interested in Henry Burr these days. At least guys like dennis can help carry it along.

Burr's healthy singing technique kept him performing until shortly before his death from throat cancer at age 59. The broadcast listed was just 7 months before he died! I enjoy a lot of his recordings, especially his early Victor Orthophonic ones with the Peerless Quartet.

Just a reminder that Henry Burr was one of the "Eight Famous Victor Artists" who performed on a 1928 Vitaphone short titled,
At the Club. Long thought lost, the sound track has recently been located, and a funding campaign underway until September 15. Nearly half the projected amount required to restore the film print and mate it to the soundtrack has been raised. Anyone wishing to participate can find the link here:
