We hope all our Texas collectors who have been touched by the great Texan flood are doing well.

It is the flood of the century and our hearts go out to any collectors affected by this disaster. We send our thoughts and prayers to any of our forum members who are affected by the rain “Harvey” brought to the state of Texas.

We are no strangers to flooding here on the Somerset Levels, as this picture of Winter 2013/14 shows, and the people of Texas are in our thoughts at this terrible time.

Thanks for starting this thread, Robin & Joan-- I've been wondering about Kurt Nauck in Spring, TX. If anyone hears word about any of "our people" please post and let us know how they're doing.

Also-- Scott in Eureka, MT may be dealing with some of the many wildfires in western MT. My sister lives in Missoula and has been sending me updates-- Severe air quality levels and fires that have destroyed thousands of acres.

Kurt reported in last night with one of the APS Board members and is doing fine. He says that there was a storm a few years back that was much worse for him. He's finishing up his fall list. Sometimes a few miles makes all the difference...

The fires in NW Montana are indeed quite wicked this year - visibility is horrendous. The fires really took off today, even burned a lodge at Glacier National Park (not THE lodge). Luckily my collection is well out of danger and don't believe any other collectors are in danger either.

Living in a shore area, at fairly low elevation, I feel for the folks in Texas.

I still haven't brought my VV-IX back downstairs (along with a bunch of records) since Sandy...
