On an early A-250, any idea what the color of the grille cloth should be?

On the Edison A250 the original cloth color was golden brown.

There were two colors: golden brown usually was supplied with oak cabinets, while an olive green was usually supplied with mahogany. However, it's not uncommon to find the reverse.

If you search "grill(s) cloth color" you'll find many threads on this subject.

Agree! Olive Green and Golden Brown were pretty much the standards in Edison uprights. I personally own 3 (A100, C150, and S19).
My C150 still had the original cloth as shown.

Your C-150 looks like it has radio speaker grill cloth because of the bright gold and textured pattern. Edison grille cloth was smooth silk and without patterns or strong texture.

That's a great image of the little girl with a C 150. :)

The grille cloth in the modern image looks textured, and if so is not original. It's pretty close to the original gold color, though.

Are you a betting man...? ;)

If you like your grille cloth, there's no reason to change it. After all, the chances of finding a presentable, original century-old Edison grille cloth are not good, unless it's already in the grille of a machine.
