I saw this Edison home on Offer Up and I thought somebody might try and restore it. I'm sure $400. is too much, but he might take an offer. I have seen some amazing restorations on this forum and this might be worth the effort?

Years ago, $400.00 was the going rate for 2/4 min. Model B. If you can get it for less, I would do it. Check to make sure the machine runs and the reproducer is complete. If the machine has both a "C" and "H", and any hidden accessories, then $400.00 would be a fair price.

It's definitely restorable... BUT is it "WORTH" restoring at that price, since a lot of time and effort would be required? Probably not, since after restoration you might be able to get $400 for it and you could get a nice one for that price that didn't need restoration... Maybe it would be worth it for $75.00 - just my opinion.

I am with Curt. If you can get it for $ 100 or a little more it might be worth it. It may take about $ 100.00 in parts and materials to complete plus your time. I enjoy restoring though so that might be a plus.. You will need decals, paint , shellac, stripper, primer, possibly a belt, a horn, and patients. Tom B
