This Edison Diamond Disc rarely surfaces and I suspect relatively few copies of this record sold.

Shiny E+ condition and plays outstanding!

This is the delightful "RADIO" Fox Trot & Song by Atlantic Dance Orchestra with wonderful vocals by Arthur Hall.

It's interesting that Edison allowed ANY recordings about 'radio' at this time when Radio listening was relatively new and was competing with listening to records at home! Of course, this particular recording makes fun of the primitive radio listening in those early days! But while it probably seemed rational for Edison to promote the weakness of radio broadcast listening it also inadvertently made radio listening a possibility for record buyers!

Anyway, this is a very difficult to find Edison Diamond Disc and, again, it's simply a delightful 'listen'. You can listen to a similar condition copy from my collection here on my YouTube channel:

The recording was featured in Ken Burns' wonderful early Radio film documentary, "EMPIRE OF THE AIR".

PM with interest. USPS Media postage is extra and at cost.

Oh, and the flip side is equally nice: "EV'RYTHIING YOU DO" Fox Trot & Song by Raderman's Dance Orchestra with vocals by Joseph Philips.

You'll search a long time to find a nicer copy of this hard to find record.

Thanks,
Doug

A wonderful record, but actually, if you listen to the lyrics, you'll find it has nothing at all to do with commercial radio; it's actually about amateur ("ham") radio.

"Everyone is talking and phoning with radio"
"It's a wireless telephone"
"Boys and misses ... sending wireless kisses"

Still a fun record of course and indeed hard to find.
