The diaphragm used for this recording is one of Larry's custom creations.

Frank,

Thanks for the video. I think that did remarkably well for you. It must be a record in excellent condition.

Bravo!

I can't say it sounded great on my built in laptop speakers as I listened from my hotel room (business trip) but it surely made me homesick and anxious to get back to the family for Christmas.

Why don't you also add to the Christmas tunes thread so all will be preserved in one place.

I checked out your pictures on the website and was amazed to see your Pathé Modele G! I have a Modele D, that appears to be the same machine except for the reproducer. Mine has the larger Pathé Concert reproducer, but the horn, the case and the motor appear to be identical. I did not expect this, because a book I have which shows a Modele G shows a more elaborate case and a tone arm rest. This may bear further investigation---did Pathé start out using identical cases for several models, then go into modifications as sales picked up? :?: Bob Ault

Bob, I don't know definitively the differences between the D and the G. I do know from an original advertisement that they were offered simultaneously for some and the G was a bit cheaper. There was some discussion about this on another thread http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... ne+model+G as well as some additional pictures of the G but I don't think we came to a conclusion.
